Regional Manager – MENA and Francophone Africa

ABOUT THE POSITION

MFR is looking for a Regional Manager with previous experience in the responsible finance or related fields. The Regional Manager will join a dynamic and international team of financial inclusion experts and will be preferably based in MFR Milan office (HQ) and report to the Chief Operations Officer at the Head Office level.

The Regional Manager will be responsible for the business development of the MENA & Francophone Africa, will define the regional strategy in close coordination with the HO and lead promotion and marketing activities. The position entails sales to new and existing clients, contract negotiation, monitoring of client satisfaction and participation at regional events. It is also expected that the Regional Manager will spend part of his/her time in the implementation of assignments and ratings, which includes data collection, interviews with relevant stakeholders and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Masters-level degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields,
  • At least 7-years of professional experience in financial sector, impact investments or relevant international development organizations and projects (e.g. special financing programs),
  • Risk, financial and credit analysis skills,
  • Knowledge of accounting,
  • Strong networking and communication skills, demonstrated by previous experience,
  • Proactive, dynamic, self-motivated, and autonomous,
  • Customer oriented and results driven,
  • Analytical skills, and strong command of Microsoft Excel and Office,
  • Prior exposure to Africa and developing markets,
  • Spoken and written fluency in English and in French is required. Knowledge of Arabic will be considered a plus,
  • Ability to work with a global team and supervise junior staff.

  • Willingness to travel up to 30%, mostly within the region and depending on the context
  • Preferred location: Milan
