MFR Executive Director Aldo Moauro and MFR Head of Operations for Latin America Evrim Kirimkan participated in the XIII Edición del Programa de Capacitación para las Microfinanzas “Boulder MFT en Español”, during March 18 – 29 in Mérida, Mexico.
During the first week, Evrim taught “Evaluación Integral del Desempeño: Financiero y Social“. The course focuses on how to evaluate and interpret the financial and social performance of a microfinance institution. The methodology of the course is participatory and the analysis is carried out through exercises and case studies.
During the second week, Aldo taught “Controles Internos y Prevención de Fraudes“. The course examines the basic concepts of risk management and focuses on key areas of operational risk, specifically the risk of fraud, and the internal control process of a microfinance institution.
The Boulder MFT in Spanish is a two week program that gives participants the opportunity to delve deeply into current issues facing the Latin American microfinance industry, including navigating risks and increased competition. Renowned faculty from the region guide participants to face challenges from a global perspective.
Over the last 24 years, Boulder Institute’s Microfinance Training Program (MFT) has trained over 6,500 professionals bringing together representatives from microfinance institutions (MFI), support organizations and government agencies around new content that is evidence based.
